Sunset Grille – Anastasia Island Eats

Within walking distance from our hotel on St Augustine Beach was one of the best seafood and steak options around – Sunset Grille. This Key West style restaurant seems to be a local favorite as well as a hit with the tourists.

Sunset Grille

Upon entering the restaurant there is a big decision to be made - to eat downstairs or upstairs. Each have a separate wait time, with the downstairs being a bit quicker. Upstairs, however offers a beach view and in the right weather conditions, a perfect outdoor dining experience. Our crew was too hungry to wait for the upstairs table, but would be worth checking out for future visits.

The menu offers a good blend of seafood, steaks, chicken etc. While a little pricier than what we usually spend on a meal, we found the food and flavors to be worth the extra cost. We started with a spinach and artichoke dip and had grilled shrimp and a seafood platter. The owner even stopped by toward the end of the visit to make sure our meal was ok and offer some tips for helping our teenage daughter learn to drive. Very personable service and fun location. We will be back to check out the top deck of the restaurant in the future!
